Risk vs Reward

Challenge

Given the oversaturation of podcasts, it is no small feat to stand out as a new release. This was the goal for Risk vs Reward (independent podcast produced in 2023) which shares stories of people who took major risks in their lives that have been rewarded.

What would a unique brand identity look like for Risk vs Reward that helps it stand out from the crowd?

Approach

I built the brand concept for the Risk vs Reward podcast on its inspirational/motivational message. Part of this process was developing a full brand including logos, colour palettes, taglines and tone of voice. The website prototype shows all of these in action through different use cases such as the podcast cover, individual episode covers and copywriting.

Outcome

To achieve a unique brand identity, I tapped into the essence of the podcast – bravery and spontaneity. Risk vs Reward has a loud and in-the-face visual identity that draws inspiration from comics and pop art.
The tone of voice is approachable with a sense of familiarity that speaks to potential
listeners in a simple and to the point language.
