The official book cover only focuses on the candidness of the plot. This offers a simplified view that misses the emotional turmoil told by the protagonist in a refreshing tone of voice.

Approach
I reimagined the cover and spine to capture the overall spirit of the book. In addition to that, I created relevant merchandise for promotional purposes. The new look represents Notes on Heartbreak as raw and courageous with hints of candidness.
Outcome
The essential component of the new identity for Notes on Heartbreak is its liveliness.
This is achieved with a vibrant colour palette married with clean and simple typography. Throughout, there are small doodles dotted around signifying the choppy and rough storytelling.
